Rev. Dr. Philip F. Hardt grew up in West Haven, Connecticut. After graduating from college, he taught for eight years in the West Haven Public School system. He attended Yale Divinity School from 1982-1986 and was ordained a deacon in June, 1986, in the New York Annual Conference. In 1998, he received a Ph.D. in Historical Theology (American period) from Fordham University. He has served churches in Windsor, CT, New Haven, CT, and Vail’s Gate, New York and taught United Methodist Studies courses at New Brunswick Theological Seminar and Theology at Fordham College.
